All the planned travelling around Kerala has come out void. I found cheap access to internet and accomodation in Cochin. And marvellous food! And Uthsavom, a festival in Shiva temple as extras!
I stayed for 8 long days. Mostly spent on the inernet (20 US cents/hour) I managed to run my blog in three languages, I assume I am the first blogger publishing in Czech, English and primitive Chinese :-]

There were two all-night performances staged during the festivalKathakali. Of course I could not have missed it. I was able to stay up, thanks to thorough club practice at home. There are a high number of videos of not so high quality in the gallery. But it is enough to get the feel of it.

The performace I liked best though was Thayambaka. It was the best ‘techno’ I ever heard. See for yourselves. (I got more videos in better quality, but I cannot upload them):

This video is not from the very end of the 2 hour drum session. If I had recorded the end, I would not have been able to enjoy it that much. I can only give you a tip: Go to India and listen to it yourself.
