As for my home: I am starting work on Aug 1st. Rokycany High school again. Living there as well.
Just to explain the title of this article: Slightly bitter taste of home comes from a locally popular drink, which I am successfully consuming now. Everything is just fine.

I left Kuala Lumpur long ago, as you could see from my photos. My fight against inability to write this blog is harder and harder. I took the plunge now however. Following my travel plan, I went to Borneo, or, an island near Borneo, Labuan.

I moved to Kota Kinabalu on a boat after two days in my tent on the beach. Technically speaking, my hiking ended here. I started thinking about things after my return home. I was arranging employment and housing in Rokycany via email. Spending ten idle days in the dorm, hours online, endless eating Malaysian delicacies and countless trips to supermarkets, I decided I could travel some more.

I left for Sandakan. I met great people, but was disappointed in the end. I found out than Tiger of Malaysia, Sir Sandokan, does not have any memorial here at all! Residents of Chinese origin, Indoneisian and Filipino clandestinos do not have a clue about the famous native.
So I gave my farewell to Sandakan and got back to Kundasang. I do not know if a celeb was ever born here, but a lot of Czech celebs could be born here, judging from the name {Kunda = cu*t in Czech}.

The best known figure around is monumental Mt Kinabalu. It is about four thousand meters high and is really spectacular. Unfortunately, crowds of well-off tourists climb up every day. I am excluded of this group, so I watched the peak from afar.

Now I am in Keningau town. I will pitch a tent in the jungle. I am going to Tenom villafe tomorrow and maybe further east, towards Brunei kingdom. The princess there is said to be ill, so curing her might gain me half of the kingdom, as a fairy tale has it…

The Ha`apai trip came oout excellent. I am going to send the pics from Australia or Malaysia. Luckily I have no pics of two evenings full of drunk faces and bodies. I stayed up two of the three hotel nights. Fortunately I managed to reduce the morning sleep to four hours. Thanks to this I could see some lovely reefs and beaches.

The worst/best was the last night. I am just trying to shake it off completely. I had to catch a plane or boat this morning, so I did not go to bed at all, not to oversleep. I tried to drink reasonably, but the locals were tough. Not much can be said without revealing the Haapai people and Europeans involved. In brief: My glasses were found on the table and delivered to me. One person did not turn up to the airport, which enabled me to take the Monday and continuing Tuesday flight. More details during long winter evenings at Bowle bar. There are stories to tell…

I myself am surprised by this extraordinary activity. I hope not to be detained by the local police.

I spent 10 days in Eua. The original plan of tramping in the woods turned into lazing around in the hotel {Taina`s place}. Not that I would not go into the forest once or twice, but it wasn`t what I expected from myself. I was not dissatisfied though. But now I am really dissatisfied with the connection! A gang of students stashed in. It looks like writing ends. I hope you`ll find the pictures. At least.
