After the Topslip jungle I was to encounter the media jungle. I was trying not to get lost in the wide choice of Indian tv channels for a whole afternoon, evening and night. I got a decent room with “thirteen channels of shit on the TV to choose from”(Pink Floyd-Nobody Home, The Wall). I was saved by Mr Murugan`s temple from a total braiwash. Great food and fruit from street vendors helped too.

I was throughly inspected at the Australian border, but let in in the end. The most serious problem for them is the way I fund my travels. I was forced to admit that I am not financed by drug gang bosses. I was rather nervous as they had too many questions. Although I was telling the truth, it was uncomfortable. Now it is over and I can thrust myself to the scorching desert. I am off to get a lift. From Darwin probably to Townsville along the East coast. 5 days at Prem`s - a friend of school in Namakkalu. To explain: In 2004, 31 West Bohemia University students went to India, of course including me. Karnal = Prem was with us most of the time, he even treated us a dinner at his place. He was patiently explaining everything to us and was really kind to us. He empathicaly survived our western manners, with much more calm than we accepted the Indian ones.
