I am jumbling the posts a bit. Indian posts come out automatically and I am putting a real-time article from a stop in the Australian desert. I hope you will not be puzzled by this. I am not in India any more, but on the road between Darwin and Brisbane in Australia.
Hitchhiking gets worse than last time, but it still works, I have to say. I had to wait even for 4.5 hours, but in the end I was saved by two great lifts. One from Mataranka to Threeways Roadhouse, the other a great truck do a town called Winton. I am right here on the net. 1300 kilometers from my last stop. I still have about a 1000 to Pockhampton and Brisbane. But now it should be easier, as there are towns and gas stations here, with only 100 - 150 km gaps in between. I am planning to rest today and tomorrow back to the road again. A lovely Christmas shopping spree from a wanderer in hot Australia.
