I finally got to see Athens. Though I missed the big thing - Acropolis, but I am planning another trip. I was muddling through the streets in search of some neo-classical constructions. In some of the pics, there are also classical sights. Athens live by night, so I set my bio clock accordingly. So, most of the pics were shot in the night.
I almost learned Japanese while staying in a youth hostel for the first 2 days. A logical task: There are 4 beds in a room. 75% taken by Japanese. How many Czechoslovaks are there? The 2 following nights were better. I was staying at a Hospitality Club member. Including dinner, breakfast and a night visit to a bar.
The one but last day, I was in the Archeological museum. My 5 hours was just enough for the statues section, but I saw things I only know from books. It really is worth the 7 Euros. Those who know me know I think twice about spending that much. :-} I slept and browsed the last day through joyfully. Then I moved to Alexandropolis and Istanbul by bus. I am writings the posts and in a minute chatching a plane. Last year was a good warning.
